Crepe bandages have been a mainstay in first aid kits since before the war. Their use in sport has been on the wain with the introduction of cohesive bandages and elastic adhesive bandages, but their usefulness should not be underestimated. Used as a compression bandage for an ankle sprain, or as a fixation bandage to secure a dressing every first aid kit should have one.
