The Ethicon vicryl suture is primarily used for the reannealing of soft tissue such as the skin and commonly used in ophthalmic procedures. The suture is made up of two main components; 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Both of which form the basis of its sterile and absorbable properties. The vicryl suture can provide up to 10 days of wound support, making it an excellent choice, particularly for larger wounds.
