BSN are rolling out new packaging for Hypafix from May 2020, however please note, the actual product hasn't changed at all.

Previously known as Fixomull in the UK, Hypafix is a premium quality retention bandage used in the hospital environment for securing dressings and appliances to the skin. In the physiotherapy clinic fixation tapes like Hypafix are also used to protect tender or vulnerable areas particularly the knee and shoulders when they are being taped using zinc oxide tapes. These sports tapes tend to use strong adhesives, and Hypafix is used to protect the skin from contact with the adhesives. Hypafix is extremely popular as it is permeable to water vapour and tends to be unaffected by sweating. It is strong, but conforms well to body curves and isn't dislodged by movement.

Also available as a lower cost alternative is Vivofix fixation tape.

Key Benefits:

  • Hypoallergenic: Suitable for sensitive skin, reducing irritation.

  • Breathable & Flexible: Permeable to water vapor and unaffected by sweat.

Secure Adhesion: Stays in place during movement.
