Coloplast skin Barrier has been primarily designed to protect the skin in ostomy patients where it is applied to the area around the stoma. The product has therefore been designed to the highest specifications and can be used to protect the sensitive skin in athletes using sports tapes. It is of particular relevance in Kinesio taping where the tape may be applied over a period of days and though the tape is considered as hypoallergenic some of the stronger concentrations of acrylic glues may cause irritation.
