Ostenil® mini is similarly formulated as the standard Ostenil injection using hyaluronic acid but specifically targets the treatment of symptoms of osteoarthritis in small synovial joints such as the carpometacarpal joint of the hand or the ankle joint. A series of 1 to 3 injections helps restore the natural balance of the breakdown and build up of hyaluronic acid within the affected joint. Improving this relationship helps reduce pain and improve the overall mobility within the joint, which may last for up to 6 months. Warning Ostenil Mini should only be administered by a qualified medical practitioner or a healthcare provider who is trained in administering intra-articular injections.
